China has been chosen in July 13, 2001. China has a different strategy of training athletes for the Olympic games. China believes starting early and quantity of training is better than quality will help the athlete’s get prepared for the Olympic games.

Some Chinese athletes start training from 6 years old, and they train everyday. They only meet their parents once a week, Saturday. On the other hand, U.S.A believes that technology and sports will help the athlete better. U.S.A athletes use the technology to see what part of their body they have to exercise and strengthen to prove best in the Olympic games. As the  battle continues between the two rival countries, U.S.A, and China, who will have the most medals and gold medals.

GT5468 PictureAre you looking for a low cost computer? I got the perfect computer for you. The computer is Gateway GT5468. This computer is great for multi-tasking. Many of us are looking for low cost computers but end up buying something for cheap, and it is really bad.

This computer is only 750 USD. This computer has a Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160, 1.8 GHz processor. It has 2 GB ram installed which is perfect for multi-tasking. One con about this computer is, its graphics are not the best. If you want a gaming computer I suggest you get a computer with more muscle in it. Except for the graphics the computer is really well build. It even has a 15 in 1 card reader.

There are 6 high speed USB slot, and there is 2 in the front, so you dont need to break you back trying to reach the back. If you want more opinions about the computer and the total specification you can go to the website.

Global Warming

Global Warming, what is it? Is it what it sounds like? Yes, it is. Global warming is the warming of the earth. Now you may be wondering, how does the Earth heat up. The cause of Earth to heat up is carbon dioxide. As carbon dioxide increases, there is a layering covering earth. The layer doesnt allow the heat waves from the sun to head back out. This slowly causes the Earth heat up.

Global warming causes many disruptions around the world. One disruption is that Global Warming is melting the ice up in the North and South poles. These cold climates are slowly becoming hot. As the temprature rises it is bad for the animals that are native to cold climates, such as polar bears and white rabbits. Also the ice is melting and the ice is the landmass that the animals survive in. Most of the carbon dioxide caused is by us humans.

There are no solutions for stopping global warming, but adjusting some daily acitivites in our lives can help fight against global warming. One very easy thing a person can do is, take off the plug of any electronic device after you are done using it. Another thing you can do is, use mass transit, instead of using cars. You can have 1 bus, instead of 30 cars. These small things can help the environment around you, and save other environments such as the north pole and south pole.

All About Niagara Falls!

July 12th, 2008 shaki16 Travel and Tourism 1 Comment

Niagara Falls has been a tourism hotpot for many years now. Niagara Falls is the border line between Canada and the United States. The Horseshoe Fall which is in canada, and the American Fall, which is located in America.

The Horseshoe fall is 173 feet (53 meters), and the American Fall is 70 fee (20 meters). The Horseshoe fall is overall, larger in width and height. Niagara falls isnt only a tourism hotspot, people use the enormous energy of the falls to make power.

The first known effort to harness the waters was in 1759, when Daniel Joncaire built a small canal above the Falls to power his sawmill. Augustus and Peter Porter purchased this area and all of American Falls in 1805 from the New York state government, and enlarged the original canal to provide hydraulic power for their gristmill and tannery.

In 1853, the Niagara Falls Hydraulic Power and Mining Company was chartered, which eventually constructed the canals which would be used to generate electricity. In 1881, under the leadership of Jacob Schoellkopf, enough power was produced to send direct current to illuminate both the Falls themselves and nearby Niagara Falls village.

How Basketball Started!

Basketball is a fascinating sport. This sport is famous all around the world. The sport basketball started in the year of 1891, in YMCA training school, today known as Spring Field College. Dr. James Naismith, a physical education teacher looked for a vigorous indoor game to keep to keep his students occupied during the long New England winters to keep them in shape.

After rejecting many ideas of the rules he came up with the basic rules and nailed a peach basket on to a 10 foot elevated track. In contrast with modern basketball nets, this peach basket retained its bottom, and balls had to be retrieved manually after each “basket” or point scored; this proved wasteful, however, so a hole was drilled into the bottom of the basket, allowing the balls to be poked out with a long rod each time. The peach baskets were used until 1906 when they were finally replaced by metal hoops with backboards.

The first official basketball game was held at YMCA gymnasium on January 20, 1892, with 9 players on each team. Not only men played basketball, by 1892 women basketball team began at Smith College. Basketball’s early adherents were dispatched to YMCAs throughout the United States, and it quickly spread through the USA and Canada.

By 1895, it was well established at several woman’s high schools. While the YMCA was responsible for initially developing and spreading the game, within a decade it discouraged the new sport, as rough play and rowdy crowds began to detract from the YMCA’s primary mission. By the 1950’s basketball was a widely played game in college during the long winter.

New Generation of Plane Simulation

Flight simulator 2004 and Flight Simulator X is the new generation of plane simulation. You all maybe be wondering “Flight Simulation”. Flight simulator has been around from 1998. From 1998 till 2004 simulation wasn’t that real.

When flight simulator came out it was a great hit among pilots young and old. You can make FS2004 or X into real life experience if you buy the right accessories. The accessories I am talking about is, Joy stick, Yoke, Air traffic simulation, and many more instruments to make your computer look like a real cockpit. Many real life pilots use this gaming opportunity to make a real life flight. You can pick the airport destinations and arrivals.

There is even the ATC feature which makes gaming experience more virtual. The main difference between flight simulator 2004 and Flight simulator X is that FS X contains more graphics and it fixes many things missing in FS 2004. In FS X, airport textures and runways are more clearer and vivid. You can go to www.youtube.com to view some of the videos of FS2004 and FSX to see the difference.

I my self have 3 rookie videos. FS X needs more computer specs, and it’s not fun to play a game if there is lag. You can check out what your computer specs need to run each game at these websites;  for FS2004. Come and enjoy your flight experience, and share your thoughts here at.
